Dr. Arvinder Singh Soin

Dr. Arvinder Singh Soin is Chairman of Liver Transplant at Medanta — The Medicity, Gurugram, and leads one of the world's most successful liver transplant programmes with a stated 95% success rate. The Medanta bio credits him with over 2,500 liver transplants — the highest in India — and more than 12,000 complex liver, gall bladder and bile duct surgeries over 38 years. His milestones include India's first successful cadaveric liver transplant (1998), the first live-donor left-lobe transplant (1999), and the first combined liver-and-kidney transplant (1999). He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2010.
