Dr. (Prof.) SVS Deo

Dr. SVS Deo chairs Surgical Oncology at Max Saket. Prior to Max, he was HOD — Surgical Oncology at AIIMS & the National Cancer Institute, New Delhi (2017–2024), having risen through AIIMS faculty ranks from Senior Resident (1991) to Professor (2011). His Max page states he has treated more than 50,000 complex cancer patients, mentored over 200 cancer surgeons, and introduced programmes in organ conservation surgery, sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB), oncoplasty, intra-operative radiotherapy (IORT), and HIPEC. He holds an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (2024), FACS, and UICC fellowships at Memorial Sloan Kettering and MD Anderson.
