Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty

Dr. Devi Shetty has performed more than 16,000 cardiac surgeries personally, with a particular focus on paediatric congenital heart disease. He was the personal physician to Mother Teresa during her later years. He founded Narayana Health to make complex heart surgery affordable for low-income families and built a network that performs more open-heart surgeries per day than any other cardiac group in the world. International paediatric patients from East Africa, the Middle East and South-East Asia routinely travel to his Bengaluru and Cayman Islands facilities.
