Dr. T. S. Kler is a pioneer of cardiac electrophysiology in India, having established the country's first electrophysiology department and performed the first ICD, CRT-P, CRT-D and HIS Bundle pacing implants in India. According to Max Healthcare, he has performed over 35,000 coronary, renal, carotid and peripheral angioplasties across a 37+ year career. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and the American College of Cardiology, and an Honorary Professor of Cardiology at Banaras Hindu University. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in 2005.
